Mary Beth Melia

November 5, 1954 — June 27, 2024

College Station, TX

Mary Beth Margaret Melia, 69, passed away at her home on June 27, 2024. She was born on November 5, 1954, to Margaret Louise (Kenney) and Edward Audley Melia Jr. in Riverside, California. She spent much of her life in San Rafael, California where she produced award-winning textiles at Cedars before relocating to College Station, Texas with family.

Mary Beth loved dogs, participating in the Special Olympics, making hand-woven goods for family and friends, funny socks, playing cards, and taking care of her many Webkins pets. Anyone who met Mary Beth could tell she was kind, thoughtful, and as honest as they come. She shared her love with so many people, and she will be deeply missed.

Mary Beth was the most loving daughter, sister, and aunt a family could ask for. She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Louise (Kenney) Melia and Edward Audley Melia Jr., and her sister Kathleen Frances Melia. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Edward A. Melia, III and wife Barbara, Karen M. Hocker and husband Del, Thomas J. Melia and wife Sharon, Robert S. Melia and wife Marsha, her brother-in-law Rhea T. Eskew Jr., and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Beth’s memory to Cedars of Ross, CA, Special Olympics Texas, or The Human Race of Sonoma County.
