John Phillip Wasik, age 93, a devoted servant of God, has returned home to be with his Father, the Lord Almighty. John served his community, his faith and his family with complete devotion, commitment and abounding love.
As a strong believer in his faith, he put all three children through St. Joseph’s Catholic School and remained a life member of the church. He was well respected and served his community by being self-employed in the furniture upholstery business for many, many years.
He is survived by three children, Joan Wasik and husband Lawrence Pena; Eugene Paul Wasik, wife Brenda Wasik and great granddaughter Nicole Barnett; Michael John Wasik, wife Christie Lopez Wasik and sons John Michael Lopez and Garrett Thomas Lopez.
John was preceded in death by his first wife, Florine Buckner Wasik. John was preceded in death by his second wife, Verna Wasik and is survived by her children, Bernadine, Leonard, Marcia and Ray Jean. He is preceded in death by his third wife, Nancy Wasik and son, and survived by two sons and daughter. John was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Theodora Wierzbicki Wasik; brothers, Louis, Ted and Paul; sister Verna, and is survived by his sister Francis Jadlowski and children Cynthia, Julian, Laura, Richard, Ronald and Timothy.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, October 8th at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan, Texas. Hillier Funeral Home is entrusted to his care. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Bremond, Texas.
