Cotton Burleson

Cotton Burleson, 80, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, TX. 

Cotton was born September 18, 1943 in Lubbock, TX to Floyce Ione (Welch) and Lacy Neal Burleson. He graduated from Lubbock Monterey High School, attended Texas Tech University, and then began his life-long career in agriculture.

He cherished his wife, Neicy, for over 54 years and was the proud dad of two sons and four grandchildren. He loved his family and made sure everyone knew how much. He was a devoted Christian, a passionate fan of all Aggie athletics, and a friend to all. His bright clothes and brighter personality lit up any space he entered and left everyone feeling better because he had been there.

Cotton was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Neicy, of Bryan; son, Heethe (Karlee) of Baton Rouge, LA; son, Jett (Stephany) of Cypress; grandson, Camden (Kamrynn) of Temple; granddaughters, Kenzee of Georgetown, Grace of Cypress, and Katherine of Cypress; and one great-grandson, Layne of Temple.

He will be forever remembered and greatly missed.
