Charles James Dobbins

Charles James Dobbins, known as CJ to his family and friends, passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2024 in College Station, TX. Born in Phoenix, AZ on November 10, 1986 to Janet Dobbins-Welch and Rick Dobbins. CJ has two older sisters, Chasity Curl, who resides in Navasota, TX and Sheena Curl, who resides in Sedona, AZ. 

CJ was a beloved son, brother, and father to two beautiful boys, Ethan James Dobbins age 16, and Carter James Dobbins age 7.  

CJ is survived by his children Ethan and Carter, siblings Chasity, Sheena and her spouse Micah, step siblings Nicole, Jeremy, Ryan, mother Janet and stepfather Mark, nephew Donovan, nieces Brooklyn, Jordyn, and Jazz, his fiancée Nicole and daughter Harper, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. CJ is preceded in death by his loving father Rick Dobbins and his stepbrother Ryan. All will keep his legacy alive. 

 CJ was an amazing son to his mother and cared for her deeply. They spent countless hours talking with each other and spent quality time together. He cherished his big sisters and grandparents and looked up to them. His heart was truly full of love for his family and loads of laughter. 

His spirit soared like an eagle through life's open roads. His passion for the outdoors, particularly the exhilaration of riding his motorcycle, defined him. With each journey, he embraced the freedom of the wind against his face and the open sky above.

 His love for adventure knew no bounds, always seeking new horizons and experiences. Whether navigating winding mountain passes or cruising along coastal highways, he found solace and joy in the simple thrill of the ride. 

 In every twist of the road and every sunset, he found peace and fulfillment. His presence touched many lives, leaving behind cherished memories. Although he no longer stands beside us, CJ’s spirit lives on in the memories of those who shared in his love for the outdoors and the freedom of the open road. 

 CJ’s life will be celebrated during a visitation on July 6, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hillier Funeral Home of College Station in College Station, TX. A celebration of Life will be held in Sedona, AZ at a later date. The burial will take place in Jackson, Ohio following a funeral mass at Holy Trinity Church for both CJ and his Father Rick Dobbins whom passed on March 24th, 2024.
